P/PV Experts Speak at Social Impact Exchange Conference
Earlier this month, several P/PV staff members played an integral role at a first-of-its-kind conference on innovative methods for scaling effective social programs. P/PV President Nadya Shmavonian served on a panel focused on "Lessons Learned in Scaling" along with James Shelton from the US Department of Education and Jed Emerson of Blended Value (to watch their presentation, click here). Replication expert Geri Summerville, employment expert Sheila Maguire and evaluation specialist Joshua Freely also made presentations to this group of philanthropists, foundation officers, wealth advisors and social sector leaders from around the country.

"Mott Conversations" with P/PV President Nadya K. Shmavonian
P/PV President Nadya K. Shmavonian discussed the importance of thoughtful, evaluative inquiry as part of the Mott Foundation's series of "Mott Conversations." PhilanTopic, the blog from Philanthropy News Digest, featured the conversation as part of a larger discussion on evaluating outcomes.

Overview

P/PV partners with funders to advance social programs at each stage in their development. From helping to hone promising new concepts to providing technical support and applied research that strengthen existing initiatives, we work with funders to build programs that stand the best chance of affecting change in the lives of the individuals they serve. When models prove successful, we help funders bring them to scale by guiding program expansion and disseminating the lessons that shape smarter government policies and improve practices across the field.
